About Betadine 5% Ointment:

Betadine 5% is a microbicidal water-soluble ointment that has a topical microbicide effect against bacteria including spores, fungi, yeasts, protozoa, and viruses, even in the presence of blood, serum, pus, and necrotic tissue. It can be effectively used on cuts, wounds, abrasions, and in pre-operative & post-operative skin cleaning. It works actively to clean the infected area and keep the skin clean. This antiseptic solution is for external use only.

Formula:

Povidone-Iodine 5% w/w (available Iodine 0.5% w/w) and water soluble ointment base q.s.

Use of Betadine 5% Ointment:

• Possesses microbicide effect against bacteria including spores, fungi, yeasts, protozoa, and viruses, even in the presence of blood, serum, pus, and necrotic tissue
• Helps to treat cuts, wounds, and abrasions, as well as kills microbes
• Use in pre-operative and post-operative skin cleaning

Usage direction of Betadine 5% Ointment:

• Betadine 5% ointment is for external use only, in a dose and direction as advised by the physician.
• Puncture nozzle seal with piercing point of the cap.
• Before application, always go through the leaflet or label instructions that come with the product.

Precaution & Related information of Betadine 5% Ointment:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to any ingredients of Betadine 5% Ointment, let the physician know straight away.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant application of this one with any other products.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage Condition of Betadine 5% Ointment:

• Store protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Do not freeze.
