Product Information:

Otrivin Moist P is a moisturizing nasal drop, that formulated with Xylometazoline Hydrochloride and Sorbitol, that helps to unblock the nose and soothe dryness.

Contains:

Xylometazoline Hydrochloride: 0.05% w/v, Sorbitol solution (70%): 20% w/v (Non-crystallising) in an aqueous buffered vehicle containing Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose.

Preservative:

Benzalkonium Chloride: 0.01% w/v

Usage Direction: 

• Otrivin Moist P Nasal Drop is intended for external use only as advised.
• Administration: 1. Clear the nose. 2. Till the head back as far as is comfortable or, if lying on a bed, hang the head over the side. 3. Apply the drops into each nostril and keep the head titled back for a short time to allow the drops to spread throughout the nose. 4. Clean and dry the dropper before replacing it back into the bottle right after use. 5. To avoid possible spread of infection, the bottle should only be used by one person.
• Pull out the rubber teat slightly to facilitate administration.
• Before application, always go through the leaflet or label instructions that come with the product. 

 Safety Information: 

• Do not use if child is allergic to any ingredient of Otrivin Moist P Nasal Drop/has undergone transnasal surgery/has narrow angle glaucoma/rhinitis sicca/atrophic rhinitis.
• The doctor should be well informed when the concomitant application of this one with another product.
• Seek medical advise if symptoms persist / overdose/suffering from high blood pressure/heart disease / overactive thyroid/diabetes/phaeochromocytoma / prostatic hypertrophy / taking or has taken MAO inhibitors in past 2 weeks or using other anti-depressants.
• Stop using the product and check with the doctor immediately in case of having an experience of very rare side effects like allergic reactions, blurred vision, irregular or fast heartbeat, difficulty in breathing or swallowing.
• Common side effects like dryness/irritation of nasal mucosa, nausea, headache, local burning sensation.
• Otrivin Moist P Nasal Drop is not recommended for the children <1 year.
• Do not use if cap seal is broken on the bottle.
• Close the bottle tightly after use.
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
• Do not exceed 3 applications daily into each nostril.
• The product should not be used for more than 10 consecutive days, prolonged / excessive use may cause stuffiness in nose to return or worsen.
