Product Information:

Otrivin Moist A Nasal Drop formulated with Xylometazoline Hydrochloride and Sorbitol, that helps to unblock the nose and soothes dryness

Contains:

Xylometazoline Hydrochloride: 0.1% w/v, Sorbitol solution (70%): 20% w/v (Non-crystallising) in an aqueous buffered vehicle containing Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose.

Preservative:

Benzalkonium Chloride: 0.01% w/v

Usage Direction:

• Otrivin Moist A Nasal Drop is intended for external use only as advised.
• Administration: 1. Clear the nose. 2. Till the head back as far as is comfortable or, if lying on a bed, hang the head over the side. 3. Apply the drops into each nostril and keep the head titled back for a short time to allow the drops to spread throughout the nose. 4. Clean and dry the dropper before replacing it back into the bottle right after use. 5. To avoid possible spread of infection, the bottle should only be used by one person.
• Pull out the rubber teat slightly to facilitate administration.
• It is recommended to make the last application shortly before retiring to bed.
• Before application, always go through the leaflet or label instructions that come with the product.

 Safety Information:

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredients of Otrivin Moist A Nasal Drop or has undergone transnasal surgery or has narrow angle glaucoma, rhinitis sicca or atrophic rhinitis.
• The doctor should be well informed when the concomitant application of this one with another product.
• Seek medical advise if symptoms persist / overdose/breast feeding / suffering from high blood pressure/heart disease / overactive thyroid/diabetes/phaeochromocytoma / prostatic hypertrophy / taking or has taken MAO inhibitors or anti-depressants in past 2 weeks.
• Stop using the product and check with your doctor immediately in case you experience very rare side effects like allergic reactions, blurred vision, irregular or fast heartbeat, difficulty in breathing or swallowing and common side effects like dryness/irritation of nasal mucosa, nausea, headache, local burning sensation.
• Do not exceed 3 applications daily into each nostril.
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
• Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
• The product should not be used for more than 10 consecutive days, prolonged / excessive use may cause stuffiness in nose to return or worsen.
• Do not use if cap seal is broken on the bottle.
• Close the bottle tightly after use.
