About Betadine Gargle:

Betadine gargle is a class of germicidal gargle which mainly contains povidone-iodine. Betadine gargle is prescribed for prevention and treatment of oro-pharyngeal infections of bacterial, viral, fungal origin. It is used as a broad spectrum antiseptic for pre, during and post dental procedures & surgeries.

When povidone-iodine is applied to the wound, the active iodine is used up as it kills microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria and fungi. As the level of active iodine working in the wound decreases, more bound molecules of iodine become available and replenish them.

Ingredients of Betadine Gargle:

Povidone Iodine 2% W/V (Available Iodine 0.2% W/V) + Ethanol 8.38% V/V

Usage Direction of Betadine Gargle:

• Use as directed by Healthcare Professionals.
• Adults & Children: Dilute with an equal volume of water and gargle or rinse for at least 30 seconds. Repeat every two to four hours for as long as required.
• For external use only.
